Requirements of the College
There must be a separate school, college, division or department of business
administration or Economics or as outlined in the Bylaws. (Hereafter referred to
as "qualified program.")
The college or university must be accredited either by the Association of American
Universities, or by one of the regional accrediting associations, such as the Southern
Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
The regular collegiate enrollment of the qualified program must be at least 400.
Lower enrollments may be considered on a case-by-case basis upon recommendation of
the respective Regional Vice President or a member of the Central Office staff. The
decision to accept a lower enrollment school for colonization is the responsibility
of the Board of Directors.
The administration of the qualified program must be receptive to, and grant written
approval for, a professional fraternity. Additionally, written approval must be received
from any student or faculty committee which approves new student organizations, if such
approval is required.
The institution should be located within 250 miles of an operating chapter (collegiate
or alumni) of Delta Sigma Pi or a member of the Board of Directors. More distant
institutions may be considered on a case-by-case basis upon recommendations of the
respective Regional Vice President or member of the Central Office staff. The decision
to accept a more distant school for colonization is the responsibility of the Board of
Directors.
